Each one of our glorious seasons bring something special and winter is no exception. Our animal friends and the brave birds who choose not to fly to warmer climes are our winter companions. We mustn’t forget to look after them, especially when the ground is frozen and food is difficult to find.

As with all Gibsons jigsaws, they use 100% recycled puzzle board, FSC paper and work with the best artists from all around the world. The beautifully illustrated pieces are designed to fit perfectly together; in fact, we use the thickest puzzle board on the market. Everyone loves a Gibsons jigsaw, even Her Majesty the Queen has been spotted with one.

Gibsons have made some positive changes to their processes, so you can be sure you’re getting the same great puzzles and know they are kinder to the environment. Not only does the box have a fresh new look, but they’ve used biodegradable clear labels to secure the lid instead of shrink wrap, reducing our plastic waste. Gibsons use vegetable-based inks too. The gloss coating on the box gives extra protection and the puzzle pieces are stored in a plastic bag that can be recycled by most councils.

Because the box is slightly smaller than previous designs, they need less room to transport their products which reduces carbon footprint and means you can store your puzzles more easily. Gibsons have also popped an artwork poster inside for you to reference whilst you piece together your lovely jigsaw puzzle.

About the Artist:

Born in 1960, Greg Giordano has been painting animals all his life. As a boy he attended the School of Visual Arts in New York City and spent many hours at the Museum of Natural history drawing and sketching the animals. Greg is an award winning artist who combines a passion for animals and birds with an exceptional eye and technique. He enjoys painting a wide range of subjects including birds, horses, puppies and snowmen.
